The Next Big Cataclysm - Is a Shift on the Way?

The people who study ancient monuments like the Pyramids of Giza, Stonehenge, Chichen Itza, the Sphinx, and others tend to point out how perfectly aligned they are with true north or the rising sun on equinoxes and solstices.

Yet if we are to accept the universal "fact" that our continents are currently drifting apart at a rate of a half-inch to four inches a year, these monuments would no longer be aligned with anything significant.

Going with the most conservative estimate, Chichen Itza would have moved 80 to 100 feet by now, Stonehenge would have moved 330 to 430 feet and the Pyramid of Giza 400 to 500 feet.

What that tells us is that the continents have not been drifting slowly as long as we are led to believe. And that worries me.

It is possible that the continents have not moved at all since these famous monuments were built and the movement that we measure now is a brand new phenomenom - within the last 50 years or so. Which is the same time period that mankind has had the tools to make such precise measurements and keep good records. This could forebode a coming continental shift.

Cataclysmic shifts don't happen overnight. They begin to accelerate at first as the magnetic field weakens until the field is sufficiently gone to make the mantle - which holds the tectonic plates in a static position - to lose its grip and allow a shift. Read: Cataclysmic Continental Shifts: What Causes Them?

There are currently other anomalies around the world with pockets of reversals in the magnetic fields. These will get bigger and will contribute to a magnetic pole reversal - as well as a cataclysmic continental shift. They say it takes 1000s of years to disappear then reverse, but I think it will happen sooner than that. Maybe in the next hundred years or so.

That's two signs of a coming shift: 1) accelerating tectonic plates 2) weakening geomagnetic field

And it coincides with the prophecies of the last days and the coming earthquakes, and fiery demise of our planet. As the geomagnetic field weakens and the tectonic plates start to move, the seismic activity will increase, weather patterns will change - and increasingly so.

Revelation 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
Think about that. A coming great earthquake worse than the earthquakes accompanying the global flood of Noah. That is ominous, because the mountains at that time added around 6000 feet of elevation, the continents of Europe and North America split apart and added 3000 miles to the North Atlantic.

We know that the world will NOT be flooded again, so the flooding will be minimal (the ocean basins are much deeper and the mountains much higher now than they were before the last cataclysmic continental shift) - but the fiery volcanic activity will be unprecedented.

If the Yellowstone hot spot is a part of the turmoil, ash will blanket the western half of the USA and be so thick that cars won't start, airplanes and helicopters won't fly and water supplies will be contaminated. After mixing with rain water, ash turns to concrete - so roofs will collapse. I'm sure there will be other volcanic hot spots around the world and in surprising and unexpected locations.

Ponder on the idea of a thick blanket of ash and smoke surrounding the earth. That would blot out and darken the sun, turn the moon red as if turned to blood and the right low-light conditions that would make the creation of rainbows impossible. All of these are signs of our Lord's eminent return.

Atlantis Found: The Simple Answer Is the Best Answer

The myth of an ancient civilization being lost when their island or continent sank is actually based in truth. Atlantis, or Lemuria, is simply the antediluvian civilization (the people before Noah's flood).

If 70% of the earth's surface is water, it doesn't take much to realize that if the earth's crust were flat, our planet would be covered 100% by water. So it wasn't a single continent that sank. It was all of them!

There was more to this catastrophe than 40 days of rain. Rain was the least of their worries, because the continents sank and the sea floors rose, causing global earthquakes and flooding when the "fountains of the great deep [were] broken up" (KJV) or "burst forth." (NIV) Josephus in his Antiquities 3:2 worded it this way: "[God] turned the dry land into sea; and thus were all these men destroyed: but Noah alone was saved."

Consider these details found in the Book of Jubilees.

Jubilees 5:24-25
And the Lord opened seven flood-gates of heaven, And the mouths of the fountains of the great deep, seven mouths in number. (seven seas)
And the flood-gates began to pour down water from the heaven forty days and forty nights, And the fountains of the deep also sent up waters, until the whole world was full of water. (emphasis added)

All civilization along the coasts were obliterated. Volcanism at the plate boundaries in the polar regions and the cataclysmic flooding added melting polar ice to the mix. It took 40 days for the continents to sink enough that the flood waters got to the elevation where Noah had built the ark and to buoy it up. No wonder Noah was ridiculed, he built the ark so far from the ocean that it seemed ludicrous. However, if he had built it on the coast, he and his ark would have been dashed to pieces from the onslaught - along with all the other port cities and ships of the time.

It took a total of 150 days before the turmoil ceased and the waters began to abate. It took a bit more than a full year from the time that Noah entered the ark to the time that the land had dried up enough to leave the ark - which was after the continents had resurfaced (in different positions, the current configuration).

Jubilees 5:29
...the seventh month all the mouths of the abysses of the earth were opened, and the water began to descend into the deep below. (The abysses = ocean basins; so the risen sea floors returned to their original depths.)

If these biblical details are new to you. Then it's time to re-read the entire actual scriptural account.

The rise of the Atlantis myth, that of an advanced civilization disappearing when their continent sank, can be attributed to this reason:

After the shift, the survivors of the flood did not know that the
American and Antarctic continents had resurfaced further away.
The original supercontinent had previously broken apart during each and every cataclysmic shift prior to man's existence on earth.  But the landmasses were still much closer together before the flood than they are now.

Therefor, after the flood, the ancients had a memory of a land beyond the straits of Gibraltar that was no longer there. That would be North or South America (or both). They sunk with the rest of the continents but resurfaced so much further west that they assumed they were still under the waves.

There are clues that indicate that the people before the flood had attained a comfortable level of high civilization world-wide. Think about it. If people lived to be more than 500 years old, you would expect the knowledge and experience gained would be put to good use. And that would explain the nostalgia the post-flood people had for their ancestors and their lost art and technology. Those oral traditions are the beginning of today's myths.

This myth has people looking all around the world and under the seas, dreaming up all sorts of magic and alien technology theories. It makes for good movies, but it is not reality.

The simplest answer is usually the correct answer.
